JSON Formatter Pro

Privacy

JSON Formatter Pro is a client-side tool. Any JSON you paste, type, upload, or drop into the editor is processed entirely in your browser. It is never uploaded to any server, and no analytics events contain your content.

What is stored locally

  • Your last input (up to 512 KB) so the editor restores when you return.
  • Your formatting preferences: indentation, transforms, selected view, and theme.

These live in your browser's localStorage under the key json-formatter-pro. Clearing your browser storage removes them completely.

Network requests

Once the page is loaded, JSON Formatter Pro makes no network requests with your content. No third-party scripts, fonts, or trackers are loaded at runtime.

Analytics

If enabled by the site operator, Cloudflare Web Analytics may be used for aggregate, cookieless page view counts. It does not receive your JSON content and does not identify individual users.

Advertising & Third-Party Services

JSON Formatter Pro may display advertisements through Google AdSense or other advertising partners. These partners may:

  • Use cookies and similar tracking technologies to serve ads based on your browsing activity
  • Collect information about your visits to display personalized ads
  • Use Google Analytics for analytics purposes

You can control ad personalization through your Google Ads Settings at adssettings.google.com.

Cookies

JSON Formatter Pro uses cookies for:

  • Functional: Theme preference, localStorage persistence (retained indefinitely until user clears)
  • Analytics: Cloudflare Web Analytics (non-identifying, aggregate only)
  • Advertising: Google AdSense and advertising partner cookies (retained per their policies, typically 13 months)

You can disable cookies in your browser settings. Note that disabling cookies may affect tool functionality.

Data Retention

Browser Storage: Your formatter input and preferences are retained in browser localStorage until you manually clear them.

Analytics Data: Cloudflare Web Analytics data is retained in accordance with Cloudflare's privacy practices.

Google AdSense Cookies: Retained per Google's policies, typically 13 months from last activity.
